What is the Shopping Advisor?

When you login to your buySAFE account, you "activate" a particular feature of the Shopping Advisor which allows you to receive a Bond guarantee and a 30 day ID theft protection at no cost to you EVERY TIME you shop through the Shopping Advisor and its Bonded Shopping Portal!
In addition, once you register, you will have access to your buySAFE dashboard to manage transactions, report issues, share the Shopping Advisor with your friends and much more.
If you do not have a buySAFE account, the Bond Guarantee will be issued, but you will need to create an account with buySAFE within 30 days in order to receive the free Bond and free ID theft protection (Shopping Advisor must be installed and active on your computer when you create your buySAFE account).
If you purchase any item through the Safe Shopping Portal, you will automatically receive a free Bond guarantee for your purchase (up to $25,000) and a free 30-day ID theft protection.
- If you have previously created a buySAFE account, you will automatically receive these benefits via email.
- If you never registered with buySAFE or if you never logged in to your account since you installed Shopping Advisor, you will need to create an account with buySAFE (or login to an existing account) in order to receive the free Bond and free ID theft protection.
Some restrictions apply for the 30 day ID theft protection: Minnesota residents and non-US residents are not eligible for the ID theft protection benefits, but all users are protected by the Free Bond guarantee!
Every time you search for products on your favorite search engine, the Shopping Advisor will display shopping results when you click on the "Shopping Results found" button in the Shopping Advisor toolbar. If you buy one of those items, you will receive a free bond guarantee (guaranteeing your transaction up to $25,000) and a complimentary ID theft protection for 30 days, at no cost to you.
A bond is a financial instrument that has been used for centuries to help two parties to a contract have greater confidence that everything will go as expected. A bond is issued by a bonding company (such as buySAFE's bond partners) when they are so confident that a merchant will honor their promises that the bonding company is willing to guarantee those commitments with their own assets.

The complimentary ID theft protection includes a comprehensive benefits package (Restoration services and expense reimbursement up to $10,000 with no deductible) if your identity gets stolen during the 30 days following a qualifying transaction. Please note that you will not receive a new 30 day ID theft protection if an existing 30 days coverage has not expired.
If you have received a Free Bond and a Free 30 day ID theft protection and wish to open a ID theft claim or register for the ID theft protection program, please call the following toll free number: 1 866 632-5335. You may be required to give details about your transaction to activate your complimentary ID theft protection.
We do not use your personal information for any purpose other than issuing a Bond and Free ID theft protection to you when you purchase through the Bonded Shopping portal. When your purchase is bonded, we are required by law to send you an email to inform you of the surety bond. We will also send you a reminder before the protection expires to remind you of the expiration of the Bond. Bond guarantees expire after 30 days. Unless you register with us, we will not send you any other emails.
