buySAFE Introduces Referral Program for Online Auction Protection Service

$50 Tell-a-Seller Program Offers Anyone an Opportunity to Earn Cash for Referring Qualified eBay Sellers

Alexandria, Va. (December 16, 2003) - buySAFE, Inc. (www.buysafe.com), which offers one of the highest level of protection from online auction risks through the buySAFE with The Hartford program, today announced the launch of its Tell-a-Seller referral program. The new program allows a participant to earn $50 for each qualified eBay seller referred to buySAFE.

buySAFE with The Hartford is the only service that enables approved sellers to present a credibility seal on their online auction listings and provides surety bonds, which guarantee the seller's performance and financially protect buyers. buySAFE performs a rigorous qualification check on sellers and issues the buySAFE Seal only to the most reputable, trustworthy online merchants. The Hartford Financial Services Group underwrites and issues the surety bonds, which provide that The Hartford will refund the item's sale price or replace the item in the event that a bonded seller does not fulfill the terms of the sale. This protects consumers from certain online transaction risks such as fraud, misrepresentation, refund failure and seller default.

The Tell-a-Seller referral program is offered to anyone who abides by the rules and regulations of the offering. Participants receive $50 for each qualified eBay seller that they refer who fills out the buySAFE application and posts the seal on at least one eBay transaction within seven days after approval of the seller's application. The approved seller can also receive a separate $100 payment from buySAFE. There is no limit on the number of $50 payments that buySAFE will make to a participant for successful referrals. Each participant receives a unique code to provide to referred eBay sellers, which enables tracking for referral payments. Details about the Tell-a-Seller program and an online registration form are available at www.buysafe.com/tell-a-seller.

"We know of nothing that beats word-of-mouth advertising, particularly in the close-knit online auction community. This is a great way to reward the people who are making buySAFE a success," said Steve Woda, founder of buySAFE. "Our service has received a tremendous amount of interest since we launched, and we want to capitalize on this momentum by enabling people to earn cash for qualified referrals. It's a winning opportunity for all involved - referrers, eBay sellers and buySAFE."
